The Story Pocket produced Cottonwood Connections, a history series focused on Western Kansas and the Great Plains, returned to Smoky Hills PBS for a third season starting Sunday, September 3, at 6:00 P.M. CDT.

The series, which started as a single documentary about Cottonwood Ranch Historic Site, expanded over its first two seasons to discuss a variety of topics and feature various museums and historic places of interest in the region.

This continues in season three as host Don Rowlison and featured guests explore such topics as The Western Cattle Trail, railroads, outlaws, newspapers, historic reenactment, and visit an archeological dig, museums, a fossil quarry, historic churches and several of the stunning geographical locations in the area.
For season three, Smoky Hills PBS continues with air times on Sundays at 6:00 PM central time and Saturdays also at 6:00 PM. This season Smoky Hills is adding a showing on Wednesdays at 1:00 PM central.
